YUNUOLIJI · MAGNETIC POWDER

YUNUOLIJI magnetic powder

Replacement powder for magnetic particle clutches and brakes. Mesh options: 50–80, 80–150, 150–250 and 250–400, for equipment supply and maintenance.

Powder in the working gap transmits torque under an excitation magnetic field. With a suitable tension control system, the clutch or brake regulates winding and unwinding tension.

01 / SPECIFICATIONS

Four mesh ranges

Select your existing grade to start an enquiry. If it is unknown, provide the complete clutch or brake model first.

50–80 mesh

80–150 mesh

150–250 mesh

250–400 mesh

Within the same sieve system, a higher mesh number generally means finer particles, not necessarily better suitability. Check the sieve standard, particle distribution and equipment requirements; industry and torque alone do not determine the grade.

02 / APPLICATIONS

Find the component in your production line

These applications concern equipment fitted with magnetic particle clutches or brakes. Servo, pneumatic and other tension systems do not necessarily use magnetic powder.

Tape and ribbon machinery

Magnetic particle tension units for tape winding and unwinding; check width, line speed, roll diameter and component model.

Wire and cable machinery

Pay-off and take-up units fitted with particle clutches or brakes; check wire type, speed, tension and cooling.

Slitting and rewinding

Particle tension units for paper, film and adhesive tape; account for changing roll diameter and duty cycle.

Coating, printing and packaging

Check the winding unit, load, duty cycle and original powder specification.

Plastic film and paper converting

Confirm that film, tissue or paper equipment uses a magnetic particle tension component before selecting powder.

Metal strip and sheet processing

For winding units fitted with particle clutches or brakes; verify torque, speed and permissible slip power.

03 / MATERIAL & PERFORMANCE

How to assess material and performance

Consider magnetic properties, particle distribution and condition, wear behaviour, operating temperature and cooling requirements together. General metal powder, magnetic inspection particles and printing consumables are not automatic substitutes.

State any specified material, such as iron-based or iron–cobalt–nickel alloy, in your enquiry. Composition, grade and temperature ratings require confirmation against the supplied specification and available test records; no unverified alloy formulation is promised here.

04 / QUESTIONS

Five questions before ordering

Which equipment uses YUNUOLIJI magnetic powder?

Magnetic particle clutches and brakes on tape, cable, slitting, rewinding, coating and printing equipment. The application name is a starting point; confirm the actual component model.

How do I choose a mesh range?

Use the equipment manual, original powder grade and manufacturer requirements. Mesh is not a torque rating, and the finest grade is not universally suitable. Provide the nameplate if the grade is unknown.

How many grams should I add?

Use the complete model, construction and corresponding manual. Informal torque labels need units. Pack weight and remaining old powder are not the prescribed fill amount; do not blindly double the charge.

Does low torque or unstable tension always mean bad powder?

No. Check excitation current, controller, coil, bearings, cooling, contamination and powder condition. Stop and isolate the equipment before maintenance; avoid repeatedly adding powder without diagnosis.

What should I check before replacement?

Confirm the model, mesh, material and fill amount; follow the original maintenance instructions. Do not mix grades or formulations without confirmation. Keep powder sealed, dry and clean; use qualified maintenance personnel.

05 / TECHNICAL GUIDE

Powder performance and maintenance

Magnetic powder is the working medium in a particle clutch or brake. Excitation changes the magnetic field and torque transmission in the working gap. Performance also depends on the magnetic circuit, clearance, cooling and controller.

Magnetic response

Check magnetic characteristics and excitation conditions for stable torque response.

Residual torque and release

Remanence, particle condition and mechanical drag affect torque after power is removed; release does not imply absolute zero torque.

Particle size and condition

Match distribution, morphology and flow to the working gap. Colour or a spherical-particle description alone does not prove compatibility.

Heat, wear and slip

Check torque, speed difference and cooling together. Permissible slip power is a property of the complete unit.

When should the powder be checked?

Reduced torque, unstable tension, excess heat or caking call for checks of excitation, controller, cooling, contamination and powder condition. Replacement intervals depend on actual duty.

Prepare for replacement

  1. Record the full component model, rated torque and unit, original powder specification and symptoms.
  2. Stop and isolate the equipment, prevent unexpected starting and allow it to cool. Use personnel familiar with the applicable maintenance instructions.
  3. Confirm the prescribed fill amount and cleaning procedure; inspect the working gap, seals and bearings. Do not mix formulations or old and new powder without confirmation.
  4. Weigh, assemble and run in according to the model instructions. Check current, torque or tension and temperature before returning to service.

Storage and ordering

Keep powder sealed, dry and clean, with batches labelled. Record pack weight separately from the prescribed machine fill weight. Send the component model and previous specification to YUNUOLIJI for confirmation.

Composition, particle distribution, temperature range and fill amount follow the selected grade and the specific equipment documentation.
